People from all over New Zealand come to Oamaru, Otago to partake in the annual wine and food festival held in February at the Botanic Gardens.

Every February, thousands of people enjoy the day at the Botanic Gardens in Oamaru, Otago on the South Island of New Zealand where the wine and food festival is held. Wine, beer and liquers from Waitaki are served, food from different cultures is available along with various types of entertainment and activities.

The festival begins at 11:00 a.m. and continues until 7:30 creating a day of excitement for the whole family. Warm, sunny days bring out the crowds who travel from different towns and it is wise to arrive early to ensure the entire family can find a comfortable spot as a home base.
