Two luxury boats, the PeeJay IV and PeeJay V, built to take passengers on a tour of White Island off the North Island of New Zealand, moor in the deeper waters of Crater Bay waiting for the return of their passengers. After an eighty minute trip to White Island where passengers can enjoy the scenery and scan the surface of the water for marine life, an inflatable boat is used to transport passengers to White Island.
Before departing, a safety hat and gas mask is given to each passenger which are needed for the adventure to the volcanic island. On arrival and departure, everyone must climb a short ladder into or out of the inflatable boat.
While on White Island, a tour guide will escort visitors to the old sulphur mining area, the large crater on the island and across the volcanic terrain explaining the history behind this volcano.
