A beautiful stretch of coastline, Wharariki Beach is dotted with magnificent sculpted rock formations - a result of the wind and wave action. With the Tasman Sea washing it's sandy shores, and prevailing winds stirring up the sand dunes it is a place best visited on a fine day with very little wind.
The walk to Wharariki Beach from the end of the road takes around 20-30 minutes and meanders through private rolling farmland - during lambing season the trail is usually closed.
