A serene place to watch a sunset, is Gillespies Beach in Westland on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand. As the yellow lighting reflects off the small pebbles along the beach, the sun slowly sinks away for the evening across the horizon.
The waves break along the coastline, making the sound of the water and the wildlife calls the only natural sounds you hear at sunset. Trails meander their way around Gillespies Beach, one in particular which takes you to a fur seal colony.
