Highway 6 or Glacier Highway is a long stretch of road hugging the coastline of the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand, one of the more scenic routes. Along the side of the highway, dense coastal scrub borders the road which has been untouched by human nature.
The Glacier Highway is a quieter drive which passes through three national parks, seal colonies, past beaches and lakes and the beauty of the glacier landscape. There are three very interesting towns to stop in along the highway, all of which have a variety of exciting tourist attractions to see.
