Visitors to Northland on the North Island of New Zealand, can experience the beauty of a rainforest in the Waipoua Forest. Here you can stroll along the boardwalk amongst gigantic Kauri Trees where there are four different groups in which these trees are separated into.
The Tane Mahuta is the largest living Kauri tree in the Waipoua Forest, with the second largest being the Te Matua. After a short walk along the boardwalk, a set of trees known as the Four Sisters grow closely together and the last group being the Yakas Kauri.
As the sunlight sparkles off the rainforest trees, a magical aura surrounds you as various wildlife calls can be heard coming from the depths of the forest.
