The white, foamy water along the Waikato River near Taupo, New Zealand slowly stops churning after it settles from the eleven meter drop over the Huka Falls. Just above this point, the river spans approximately 100 meters across before it squeezes through a small opening of about 15-20 meters over the Huka Falls.
The Waikato River is a beautiful greenish/blue hue and many tourists to the area find the viewpoints picturesque, especially from the pedestrian bridge where you can overlook the water. The Waikator River is the longest river throughout New Zealand and Huka Falls is the largest waterfall on this river's journey.
