The beach at Titirangi Bay in the Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand is a beautiful place to rest your kayak while enjoying the beauty of the region. Titirangi Bay is a protected area with a sandy beach located at the north eastern end of the Marlborough Sounds.
Many visitors to the South Island of New Zealand find kayaking around Marlborough Sounds the best way to see the area. There are many coves and bays to explore where one can disembark their kayak on one of the beaches and have a picnic lunch. Many of the settlements and houses are only accessible by kayak or boat and as long as one stays in the main channels, the water is fairly calm.
Visitors can explore the Marlborough Sounds on their own or partake in one of the guided kayak tours with an experienced leader as if one makes a wrong turn into Cook Strait, the water can be dangerous.
