A bright sunset farewells another day at Cape Reinga and Te Werahi Beach in Northland, North Island, NZ.

From the west of Cape Reinga, a sweeping sandy stretch reaches across Te Werahi Beach to Cape Maria van Diemen in the sub-tropical region of Northland on the North Island of New Zealand.

A trail leads down from the famous Cape Reinga past steeps cliffs to the beach which is about 3km long. A casual walk will take approximately 45 - 60 minutes. It's a magical place to spend the day then watch the sunset over the Tasman Sea.
