The sunlight glistens off the surface of the water where the waves lap onto the coastal shores at Te Werahi Beach in Northland, New Zealand. The beach is very tranquil and runs along the coastal area until reaching the point where Motuopao Island and Cape Maria are located, all which can be seen from the cliffs blanketed in greenery at Cape Reinga in Northland, New Zealand.
Te Werahi Beach spans a distance of 3 kilometers but before reaching this spectacular coastal area, visitors can walk along a 1.25 kilometer track over the high cliffs at Cape Reinga to the beach below. The track is made up of peach colored dunes, dune grasses and breathtaking scenery.
The entire walk to Te Werahi Beach takes about an hour but many visitors prefer to spend a few hours here to enjoy the coastal scenery offered around Cape Reinga, New Zealand.
