The sky glows in soft pink hues at sunset over the Tasman Sea as the waves crash against the coastal shores at Cape Reinga in Northland, New Zealand.
Cape Reinga is where the Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean meet creating quite a stir at times when the two waterways display their true forces. The coastal shores can take a beating from the fury of the water, but Cape Reinga is one of the prettiest places on the North Island especially when the water is calm and the sunset hues filter across the surface. Sandy beaches are found along Cape Reinga and lush green pastures blanket the landscape along the tops of the cliffs, both beautiful places to watch the sunset colors highlight the sky.
