In the waters around the Bay of Islands off the North Island of NZ, wild Bottlenose Dolphins are frequently spotted here. Dolphin watching trips leave daily where the captains and passengers scan the surface of the waters for the small black fins on the Bottlenose Dolphins.
When the conditions of the water and the weather cooperates, passengers may disembark the vessel and experience what it is like to be swimming side by side with these marine mammals. The Bottlenose Dolphins have become very familiar and adjusted to their human interactions and tend to show off for new visitors with spins, rolls and leaps.
