The Sky Tower in Auckland City, New Zealand is a popular tourist attraction and when reaching the observation deck, the aerial view of the downtown area of Auckland and Waitemata Harbour is breathtaking. The tall skyscrapers look miniature from the top of the Sky Tower which stands at a height of 1,076 feet, the tallest free-standing structure throughout the Southern Hemisphere.

To reach the restaurant or observation decks, visitors must travel up the glass-fronted elevators, this being an experience in itself.
