The town of Pukenui in Northland, New Zealand sits along the coastal shores where buildings appear above the tree line and in Rangaunu Bay, boats are moored as they await their owners. The waters of Rangaunu Bay are fairly shallow allowing the sandy bottom to appear from beneath where the underwater sea life can be seen busily moving about in their natural habitat.
On occasion, dolphins can be seen swimming about Rangaunu Bay along with some Humpback Whales or Killer Whales. The hillsides are adorned in lush greenery as they flourish in the warm summer weather and the dampness the ground provides.
The beautiful colored water brings out the beauty of Rangaunu Bay and many travelers have the boats moored in the bay while they explore Pukenui in its entirety.
