Two wicker chairs sit on the porch of a house in Pukeuri, Otago on the South Island of New Zealand surrounded by Christmas lights, wreaths, decorations and a tree. This local resident enhances everyone's Christmas as they open up their property to visitors every year which takes weeks of preparation before the Christmas season.
Thousands of tiny lights are used to highlight the property to make this a wonderful experience for all the residents in Pukeuri as well as for the others who live around the area. The gardens are open to the public who can stroll along the walkways where everything on the resident's property has lights flickering bringing the magic of Christmas to everyone's eyes.
There are only about 250 residents in the town of Pukeuri, Otago and this Christmas house is one easily found. Although it is summer in New Zealand during the Christmas season, the night time glow of the lights is one everyone should see if visiting this quiet town.
