A centre dedicated to preserving the history of Taranaki in the heart of the city of New Plymouth, Puke Ariki features a range of displays, exhibitions, and collections which were previously stored out of sight when the museum was housed in another building.
The complex also features an information centre with a large area for people to gather, and staff to help with planning a visit in New Plymouth or providing extensive information about the area. A cafe provides refreshments with a view of the Tasman Sea and New Plymouth foreshore.
