The largest Little Blue Penguin found in Oamaru, Otago on the South Island of New Zealand is the statue which is erected on its pillar along the main street in town. Standing very proud, this Little Blue Penguin statue is made out Oamaru stone and has become a very popular figure in many tourist's pictures.
Oamaru, Otago in New Zealand is a place in which the Little Blue Penguins have chosen as their nesting grounds. Around dusk each day, the penguins make their way up the beach to their nests and as the first light of morning appears, they journey back to the sea for swimming and feeding.
