Penguin Beach Games New Zealand
Photo & Vacation Spot

One of the dangers for penguins coming ashore at Roaring Bay in the South Island of New Zealand, are the sea lions who're lounging on the beach and ready to play games.

We watched a sea lion play games and chasing two penguins once they arrived to walk up the beach at Roaring Bay in the Catlins, South Island, New Zealand. The first Penguin eluded the sea lion who then kept the following two from getting to their nests further inland. They played this game for some time before these two penguins finally made a dash for the cover of the bush.
