From the north end of the Northern Taranaki Bight in New Zealand, the scenery is beautiful as a vibrant stretch of yellow sky silhouettes the peak of Mt. Taranaki/Mt. Egmont. The Tasman Sea remains calm during this beautiful sunset as the lights from different towns begin to illuminate the dark landscape.

Mt. Taranaki/Mt. Egmont is the second highest mountain peak on the North Island of New Zealand and the volcanic cone is prominently displayed in the yellow lighting at sunset. The area around Mt. Taranaki is ideal for hiking, with variations in the length of the trips, but the entire area is picturesque from a distance.
