In the sunset lighting, the silhouette of the volcanic peak of Mt. Taranaki/Mt. Egmont rises to a height of 2,518 meters over the landscape of the Northern Taranaki Bight on the North Island of New Zealand. The sky blanketed in a soft yellow glow creates the perfect backdrop while the calm, rippling waters of the Tasman Sea adorns the foreground.
A few lights along the coastal shores are illuminated as the sunset hues begin to fade, followed by the darkness of night. The cone shape on the volcano of Mt. Taranaki/Mt. Egmont is the second highest peak in New Zealand which towers over 335 square miles of land, home to Egmont National Park.
From the Northern Taranaki Bight the scenery of the sunset colors and the silhouette of Mt. Taranaki/Mt. Egmont and the surrounding mountain range is one to be remembered while visiting New Zealand.
