When reaching the top of the 350m track which overlooks Motuarohia (Roberton) Island in the Bay of Islands in Northland, New Zealand, the scenery of two different types of coastline can be seen. This side of the island shows off its rugged coastline where the rocks jut out into the water as the waves crash against them.
This rugged coastline can be extremely dangerous at times and kayakers need to be extremely aware of the currents and tides. The opposite side of Motuarohia (Roberton) Island is very serene as the quiet bay creates a paradise for boaters, kayakers, swimmers, snorkelers, water skiers and beach lovers.
The 350 meter track takes about 15 minutes to complete on a fairly steep incline, but well worth the climb when you see the beauty which surrounds Motuaohia (Roberton) Island in Northland, New Zealand.
