After reaching the top of the 350 meter long track at Motuarohia (Roberton) Island in Northland, New Zealand, the scenery is amazing as one can look out over the tranquil bay. Boats anchor in the bay where people swim, relax or come ashore to explore the beauty of Motuarohia (Roberton) Island.
The scenery of the bay one sees from this viewpoint is very tranquil and calm where a beautiful beach runs along the shore while the opposite side becomes extremely rocky and rugged. At various viewpoints of the 350 meter track, one can see both sides of Motuarohia (Roberton) Island and clearly see the differences in the coastlines.
The hike is approximately 15 minutes in length and well worth it to see this region of New Zealand which overlooks the bay and the miles of endless scenery.
