While hiking along the 350m track in the Bay of Islands in Northland, New Zealand, the scenery overlooking Motuarohia (Roberton) Island is breathtaking. Two entirely different landscapes surround Motuarohia Island, one side being the rugged rocky coastline where the waves crash against the shore and the other being a beautiful turquoise colored bay with a nice beach.
The 350m hike at Motuarohia Island takes the average person approximately 15 minutes. Starting at the beach you journey on a upwards slope to the top where you can see for miles across the horizon.
