Mangonui Foreshore Northland North Island New Zealand
Photo & Vacation Spot

A very pretty place to overlook the water in Northland on the North Island of New Zealand is on the foreshore of the town of Mangonui.

The Mangonui foreshore in Northland on the North Island of New Zealand is a favorite location for summer vacationers as there are four resorts all located within close proximity. Mangonui being one of them with the three other resorts being Taipa, Cable Bay and Cooper's Beach, all great fishing locations along the coast of Doubtless Bay.

Activities to enjoy while along the foreshore of Mangonui include fishing, waterskiing, snorkeling, swimming and diving. There are also boutiques, historic buildings, cafes and restaurants, one very well known eatery being the Mangonui Fish Shop.

The foreshore is a pristine area where one can enjoy the scenery while watching the fishing boats come and go along the coastal shores. Fishing has always been the main livelihood of the town, but many do it for the simple pleasure.
