Also known as Fairy Penguins, one of the most accessible places in New Zealand to see this cute critter is at the Oamaru Little Blue Penguin Colony in Otago on the South Island of NZ.

Follow the signs through the main street of Oamaru (past the Blue Penguin Statue - if coming from the north) and just before the waterfront, this bright yellow warning sign confirms you're in the right place.
