The tall spikes of lavender display their purple hues in a field near Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand as a daisy sprouts up showing off its bright white glow surrounding its yellow center. The lonely daisy adds a nice contrast to the field of purple which looks beautiful in this picture, but many gardeners find the daisy to be an undesirable weed.
The month of January is a beautiful time to visit the Bay of Plenty as this is when many species of wildflowers, including the lavender and daisies flourish and show their beauty.
