The green species of kiwifruit, often found in stores as Zespri, fills the orchard at Kiwi 360 near the town of Te Puke in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.

Back in 1904, a teacher who had visited China, brought some small tiny black seeds to New Zealand where they were planted and the first kiwifruit to appear was in 1910. It was known as the Chinese Gooseberry until 1959, when the name of the fruit was changed to kiwifruit.

The kiwifruit provides a good source of potassium and is higher in vitamin C than an orange with a delicious and nutritious taste all of its own. The orchard at Kiwi 360 near Te Puke, has the ideal climate and soil conditions for growing kiwifruit and over the years they have perfected the techniques of producing the perfect kiwifruit.
