A tractor which takes passengers on a tour along the rugged coastline of Hawkes Bay towards the Australasian Gannet colony at Cape Kidnappers on the North Island of New Zealand, has stopped to maneuver a slip in the landscape. The tractor belonging to Gannet Beach Adventures, pulls a trailer loaded with passengers for a unique tour to explore the coastline of Hawkes Bay.
These tours are only available to make this trip when the tide is low as there needs to be plenty of beach area to travel along. The tour is about 4 hours in length and passengers are able to mosey around the coastal beach when the tractor stops at various places along the way.
The tour guides are extremely knowledgeable about the Hawkes Bay area and passengers will come back from this tour knowing a great deal more about the New Zealand coastline and the natural environment where the gannets reside during their nesting and breeding periods. The seats on board the trailer are padded and fairly comfortable, but there are areas where the tour becomes fairly bumpy.
