An easy walk along a trail in Waipoua Forest in Northland, New Zealand brings the visitor to the home of the largest living Kauri trees and one of the largest remaining tracts of native forest. Tane Mahuta is the largest kauri tree with a girth of 13.77m and total height of 51.5m while Te Matua Ngahere has a girth of 16.41m and total height of 29.9m.
