Photo & Vacation Spot

The town of Cromwell in Central Otago on the South Island of New Zealand displays a colorful welcome sign with a fruit sculpture towering above.

A large, brightly decorative sculpture made up of various types of fruit stands above the welcome sign to the town of Cromwell, Lake Dunstan in Central Otago on the South Island of New Zealand. The town has acres of orchards and vineyards where fruit is grown which has continually increased over the years as the climate is ideal for them to flourish.

During harvest time, visitors can tour the orchards while picking their own fruit or visit the vineyards and sample some of the fine wines which are made in the town of Cromwell.

The massive fruit sculpture and the matching colored sign is hard to miss while touring the South Island. A stop at this town offers a variety of exciting activities as well as beautiful scenery and the pristine area around Lake Dunstan.
