From Mission Bay on the North Island of New Zealand, the scenery of the coastline shows the quaint historical village of Devonport. The highway runs along the coastal shores of Auckland's North Shore which is about a twenty minute drive from Auckland to Devonport but many people prefer to take the ten minute ferry trip departing from downtown Auckland.

Devonport makes an excellent day trip for visitors to the North Island where they can browse the specialty shops, have a meal at one of the cafes or restaurants, enjoy the beautiful beaches or admire the colonial architecture throughout the village. A charming destination where people can get away from the hustle and bustle of Auckland and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of Devonport.
