The clouds which have moved in over the Catlins Forest at Porpoise Bay and Curio Bay in Southland, New Zealand at sunset are not the promise of a clear evening. The clouds thicken bringing on the threat of a good storm but small breaks allow the light to pierce through creating a unique looking sky.
The Catlins is situated at the south eastern corner of the South Island of New Zealand where various species of wildlife are found and weather which can quickly change throughout the day. What once started out as a beautiful day, has now become very dark and stormy at sunset.
