In the midst of spring as summer nears, the banks of the Cardrona River along the Crown Range Road in Central Otago, New Zealand are adorned in purple and pink hues as the Russell Lupins blossom.
The Cardrona River spans for 40 kilometers through the steep Cardrona Valley and the drive along the Crown Range Road can be very difficult at times as it carves through the mountains to a height of 1121 metres.
