The rugged coastline at Cape Kidnappers in Hawkes Bay on the North Island of New Zealand is beautiful as the ocean waves lash up onto the sandy beach. As the tide recedes, the beach expands allowing visitors to stroll along this coastline and admire the beauty of the high rugged cliffs.
A trail atop the cliffs leads visitors to a viewing area where they can watch an Australasian Gannet Colony in their natural environment during breeding season. The gannets will soar above this rugged coastline making fast dives into the water below catching their next meal.
