To view the Australasian Gannet Colony at Cape Kidnappers in Hawkes Bay on the North Island of NZ, visitors must hike up the trail to the top of the sandstone cliffs. Once there, it is amazing to see the thousands of birds at their nesting grounds and overlook the coastline scenery of Cape Kidnappers.
The foamy white waves crash against the coastline at Cape Kidnappers, a region which has been left untouched and attracts many visitors every year. The sandstone cliffs rise to great heights and patches of greenery flourishes across the surface.
As one hikes up the trail to the top, gannets can be seen soaring over Cape Kidnappers where they dive with great speed to snatch a fish from the water. A location worth seeing while visiting Hawkes Bay on the North Island of NZ.
