Photo & Vacation Spot

After passing through the entrance at the Auckland Zoo in Auckland on the North Island of New Zealand, signs point in every direction to begin a fascinating adventure.

When entering the Auckland Zoo on the North Island of New Zealand, a wooden pole displays an assortment of signs which points visitors in the right direction. This is the beginning of an extraordinary adventure separated into eight different areas where over 1000 animals from around the world reside. For those who are overwhelmed at the size of the zoo and which direction to start in, a map is available at the entrance.

Renovations have been made around the zoo since the 1990's and the habitats of all the animals are as closely related to their natural existence as possible. First opened in 1922, the Auckland Zoo has become an extremely popular tourist attraction which amuses the entire family for a day.
