At the Mt. Victoria Reserve and Lookout in the suburb of Devonport, the skyline of Auckland City, New Zealand becomes brighter as the lighting at dusk starts to diminish and darkness closes in to end another day. The illumination of the skyline creates quite a spectacular show when the reflections of the lights dance with the movement of the water.
The prominent building of the skyline is the Sky Tower which reaches a height of 328 meters, a telecommunications tower that has two observation decks, restaurants and a sky jump. The harbour is dotted with luxury vessels moored at the city marina and the shipping traffic as this is the main shipping lane which has access to the open waters from Auckland, New Zealand.
Across the Waitemata Harbour, visitors will find the scenery of the skyline the best as it gives you a view of the entire illumination of the city. The hours at dusk provide picturesque scenery, especially when the sky is aglow from the remains of the sunset lighting.
