Standing very proud, this Little Blue Penguin statue is made out Oamaru stone and has become a very popular figure in many tourist's pictures.

Oamaru, Otago in New Zealand is a place in which the Little Blue Penguins have chosen as their nesting grounds. Around dusk each day, the penguins make their way up the beach to their nests and as the first light of morning appears, they journey back to the sea for swimming and feeding.

The local residents of Oamaru are very proud of their Little Blue Penguins as you will see in the shops and on various items where they are used as a logo for businesses.
