Kite surfers flock to Orewa Beach in the Rodney District on the North Island of New Zealand during the summer months. The sandy beach spans for miles where the wind is fairly constant making the conditions ideal for kite surfers to sail the sky above the Pacific Ocean.

Orewa Beach is about a half an hour drive from the city of Auckland, New Zealand making it the ideal getaway for kite surfers, windsurfers, Blokart sailers, swimmers or people who just love to walk the long stretch of beach. Many visitors come to Orewa Beach to watch the excitement as these kite surfers practice their maneuvers in the air, a sport which has become very popular in recent years.
