A fisherman is well prepared with two fishing poles and the proper tackle and lures where he tries to snag the smaller species of fish which reside along the coastal shores of Mission Bay in Auckland on the North Island of New Zealand. As the breeze blows in off the ocean, dark clouds decorate the backdrop which have moved in over Rangitoto Island, an island formed approximately 700 years ago by volcanic eruptions.
A fisherman who prefers to cast from the shores at Mission Bay will not catch the larger fish available as he would when deep sea fishing. A variety of charters are available for those fishermen who are looking for the bigger fight and larger fish.
Mission Bay is a suburb of the city of Auckland and is a short distance of about 7 kilometers from the busy city life. Mission Bay becomes fairly busy during the summer as the beach area is excellent for swimming, fishermen spend the day along the shores, children romp at the playground and couples enjoy the lively cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs.
