The long spotted neck of an animal in the Pridelands area at the Auckland Zoo on the North Island of NZ, makes visitors look way up to find the cute face of a giraffe. This close encounter with the giraffe allowed us to capture a photo where the markings along its neck are clearly defined. Each brown patch on a giraffe is unique in size, shape and design similar to fingerprints on a human, making it easy to recognize each giraffe at the Auckland Zoo.
As its pointed ears protrude from the side of its head, two horns curved inwards, grow from the top. The giraffe is the tallest animal found throughout the world, some reaching a height of 19 feet and weighing between 1,100 to 2,800 pounds.
While touring through the Pridelands at the Auckland Zoo on the North Island of NZ, scan the giraffe habitat near the tree tops, a place where these animals feed.
