Anatini Whale Fossil Site Waitaki South Island

A part of the Vanished World Trail, the Anatini Whale Fossil site in the Waitaki Valley features baleen whale bones - along way from the sea!

As well as fossils and bones, the Anatini Whale Fossil Site in the Waitaki Valley, features a field of interesting rock formations made from blocks of Otekaike limestone.
